What is average lifespan of an elephant
Now I will discuss what is average lifespan of an elephant. Elephants are the largest living mammals on our earth. But it doesn’t mean that it also has the longest lifespan. Lifespan doesn’t depend upon the size of an animal. So there are many examples with tiny size but have more lifespan as compared to larger sized animals.
In general the lifespan of an elephant is around 50-72 years. But the longest lifespan elephant is 82 years old. It depends upon species. For example Asian elephants live upto 70 years. For African elephants it is around 65 years.
But if we take care properly they can live upto 85 years. Longest lifespan of an Asian elephant is 86 years old. Longest living Asian elephant was Lin Wang.
