What is average lifespan of horses
Now I will discuss what is average lifespan of horses. On an average lifespan of a horse is around 25 years. But it is not the same for all. Horses which are exploited extensively have less average lifespan. Like the horses used for race generally live shorter than others.
They don’t live more than others because of overworking. Some breeds live more than 40 years. For example Haflinger breeds are recorded to live 40-46 years. Due to some parasites, like worms, they may die before 21 years.
Lifespan also depends upon food provided to them. Proper exercise also increases their lifespan. If it is a racing horse then it should be considered that if they are not tested properly then it can cause shorter lifespan.
