What is Anxiety:
It is a mental condition which is necessary for our survival but it becomes a problem when this condition has a negative impact on human behaviour due to mental stress. Anxiety is a very common group of mental illnesses which causes unnecessary nervousness and almost every person feels anxiety.
When we prepare for any examination or we go to a job interview we feel anxiety which is very normal but long term anxiety causes other serious mental illnesses, sometimes it can cause different physical illnesses also. High levels of anxiety cause different negative changes in behaviour, it causes fear, panic attack, nervousness and phobia.
Causes of Anxiety:
We are now aware of what anxiety is and now we are going to know about different reasons which cause feelings of anxiety.
It is not possible to point out the actual reason for the anxiety but there are many factors which are responsible for this mental illness which we will discuss below.
- Long term mental stress is the main reason for anxiety like mental disorders. Especially the person who has very high responsibility suffers from heavy mental stress and often they suffer from various mental disorders like feeling tense, worries, nervousness, panic or phobia.
- In most of the cases financial problems cause high levels of tension and this long term tension causes anxiety disorders.
- Sometimes long term diseases cause anxiety like mental disorders in some patients.
- Stress in the workplace in some fields sometimes causes different types of mental disorders like anxiety, especially in those work places where job life balance is completely absent.
- Few chemicals have side effects which cause anxiety-like symptoms in some people.
- Sometimes any misbehave with sensitive minded people causes anxiety or other mental illness in them. Harassment in the workplace, abuse of children sometimes create trauma in their mental health which most of time cause various serious mental disorders like anxiety.
- Sometimes it occurs due to just some genetic disorders when people suffer from anxiety without any special reason. Though it is very rare, it is possible to suffer from anxiety like disorders for genetic abnormalities.
Common Symptoms of Anxiety:
We will now discuss some common symptoms of anxiety but we will recommend to consult specialist doctors for further investigation before you become sure only by reading these symptoms. Because medical sciences, especially mental health, is a very complicated science so a few symptoms can not diagnose anyone for anxiety, so please consult your doctor before you confirm.
- Most frequent symptoms of anxiety are heavy tension, fear and panic which sometimes cause phobia.
- Dizziness and feeling of fatigue always and excess sweating.
- Breathing at a very fast rate and getting a headache with feeling irritation every time.
- Improper digestion and breathing shortness with rapid heartbeat.
- People who suffer from anxiety most commonly feel difficulty concentrating on their regular work and feeling of restlessness.
How to Prevent Anxiety Disorders:
As we told earlier, anxiety is beneficial for our survival upto a limit but after that limit it becomes a mental disorder so we should take various precautions to prevent anxiety like mental disorders.
- We should not disturb our biological rhythm like natural sleeping patterns, take food at time and do other daily work at time.
- Our diet should be healthy because improper diet causes various deficiency and we will be unable to handle even a minor mental stress if our nervous system is not able to get sufficient amounts of nutrition.
- We should avoid different foods and chemicals which suddenly stimulate our nervous system but as a side effect they cause different types of mental disorders like anxiety.
