Hi, we are going to discuss angina pectoris general overview which will give an idea about signs which indicate angina pectoris. It is a coronary heart disease in which patients suffer from chest discomfort or pain because one or more arteries get blocked so heart tissue does not get sufficient amounts of blood.
After diagnosis with an angina patient should take medical treatment as soon as possible because sometimes if this condition continues for a long term then it can cause cardiac arrest or even heart death. Extreme exercise can induce angina pain more seriously but if exercise is done under special supervision then it proves beneficial for patients.
Every cell requires nutrients, oxygen and other requirements but if they do not get sufficient amounts of nutrients then the cells start to die. Same event occurs in heart cells when blood does not reach a sufficient amount which causes insufficient oxygen and nutrients supply to heart tissue as a result heart tissue starts to die.
When this occurs extremely in major portions of the heart then it causes a painful situation in the heart.

Types of Angina:
Depending upon various parameters like portion of heart affect it can be divided into several types which we have discussed below.
Stable Angina:
It is the most common type of angina and has a certain pattern of chest pain and it is also known as stable angina.
Unstable Angina:
Unstable angina causes chest pain suddenly even sometimes when the patient rests we can not predict its pain pattern. With time unstable angina causes more and more serious situations in patients.
Variant Angina:
This type of angina is generally observed in young ones who are suffering from any other heart diseases already and it is a very rare case. Prinzmetal’s variant angina or Angina inversa may occur during rest and it is most frequent during night or early morning.
Microvascular Angina:
It is a severe type of angina in which the smallest coronary artery gets affected and the wall of blood vessels show spasms. Most of the time it causes serious discomfort because in this case heart pain becomes severe and lasts for a longer time than other types of angina.
Signs and Symptoms of Angina Pectoris:
Now we will discuss various signs and symptoms which point us towards angina pectoris but we do not recommend to decide about any disease by simply observing the signs and symptoms. Because most of the time symptoms can be the result of other diseases so please always consult your doctor and don’t decide a disease by its signs and symptoms only.
Feeling tired after an exercise even when it is not vigorous exercise heart pain starts something during rest. Frequent pain in the heart but in most cases does not persist the pain for long term. The chest pain spreads to other organs for the chest region towards shoulder, back and arms and frequent indigestion.
When Angina Pectoris Pain Become More Stronger:
Pain in angina pectoris is due to insufficient blood supply to the heart tissue but if other medical conditions like atherosclerosis where the blood vessels become narrower cause serious problems.
When patients perform various exercises hard then it requires a large amount of blood supply to encounter the excess stress but due to insufficient blood supply heart cells do not get sufficient amounts of oxygen and cause pain in the heart.
Diagnostic Techniques for Angina Pectoris:
Only signs and symptoms are not sufficient evidence for confirming angina proper diagnosis should be performed before reaching a final decision.
Angiography:
In this technique X-ray imaging of blood vessels and blood flow can be observed and after considering the situation it can be confirmed.
Electrocardiogram:
ECG shows electrochemical activities of various portions of the heart, any abnormal curve on ECG gives ideas about internal conditions of the heart and this technique can be used for detecting angina pectoris.
